Brief:

Gray’s were asked to carry out a full rebrand and website rebuild for the well-known cancer support group, Pink Ladies, in the summer of 2023. The group wished to celebrate their 18th birthday with a fresh identity, so this was the deadline we were required to work towards. PR and marketing assistance were also requested in order to boost publicity for the rebrand.

Challenge:

Gray's were tasked to create a new brand and website for the popular Pink Ladies cancer support group. This was to consist of a name, logo, WordPress website, brand guidelines, social media assets and PR support. Due to the extent of the work involved, we developed a Gantt chart to ensure the Pink Ladies team were kept fully up to speed throughout the process.

Solution:

We knew that the people we most needed to win over with the rebrand were the members of the support group, so we were keen to obtain their feedback. We conducted a series of focus groups to see their reactions to a couple of brand options, and these proved exceptionally helpful in deciding upon the identity of the new organisation.

Website Development

We redesigned the website from the ground up once decisions had been made on the rebranding process. As is customary for our clients, we designed a bespoke WordPress website with various functionalities as requested by the client, including a donate button and education hub.

The Launch of Hive Cancer Support

The Pink Ladies arranged an anniversary dinner marking the 18th Anniversary of the organisation, and Gray's decided that unveiling the new brand at this event would be fitting.

Erin and Sarah from the Gray's team presented the new brand to all in attendance at the event, explaining the rationale behind the change. The grand reveal was a memorable moment, as a flash mob of dancers appeared wearing t-shirts emblazoned with the new 'Hive Cancer Support' branding.

In addition, our comms team secured extensive media coverage for the launch across all mediums.
