Brief:

Gray’s were appointed to support the All-Ireland Social Prescribing (AISP) Network with their conference ‘Social Prescribing: Celebrating and Sustaining Throughout the Island’ which was held in June 2022.

Challenge:

Gray’s was tasked to support a range of elements before, during and post-event, running throughout May, June, and July. This included the delivery of the conference in a professional and proficient manner, social media management including live updates throughout the conference as well as highlighting the event to local and national media.

Solution:

Conference

With careful time management, strategic planning and preparation, Gray’s were able to undertake a series of tasks and meet requisite deadlines, including:

  • Project/risk management
  • Venue sourcing & liaison
  • A/V support
  • Marketing
  • Programme management
  • On-site management

Social Media Management

Gray’s created social media content began ahead of the conference to maximise interest and showcase the event to a wider audience. For the event itself, Gray’s created a hashtag, #AISP22, which we included in all social media output and which we encouraged attendees to use throughout the conference.

Media

Gray’s created pre-event and post-event press releases, which were designed to promote the significance of the conference and highlight the attendance of the Health Ministers from both North and South of Ireland.

We liaised with the offices of Frank Feighan TD, Minister for State with the responsibility for Public Health, Wellbeing and National Drug Strategy in the South as well as the office of MLA and Health Minister Robin Swann in the North for these pieces, which aimed to emphasise the All-Ireland approach and showcase one fluid, connected network.

Gray’s successfully secured a series of on-air radio interviews for various members of the All-Ireland Social Prescribing Network. Most notably, Co-Chair of the AISP Tony Doherty, Social Prescribing participant Katrina Armstrong and North West Regional College’s Student Services & Careers Academy Manager Finneen Bradley, all of whom featured on the BBC ahead of the AISP conference.

Results:

Gray’s received hugely positive feedback for our running of the ‘Social Prescribing: Celebrating and Sustaining Throughout the Island’ event, emphasising our commitment to delivering a professional product for our clients alongside exceptional customer service.
